Deposits & Withdrawals

In the world that we live in, it would be safe to say that almost everyone has a bank account where we deposit our money. If your paid monthly or even if your in business, when you receive your dues, you will take out your monthly contributions so that you can pay your bills, rent, power, water, school fees (if you have children), mortgage and or car loan if you have any. The remaining amount, is what we leave in our accounts as our savings, to help us on a rainy day. It is important to save our monies and not spend it all on partying or the ‘good life,’ as we might get an emergency in the future that would require some or all your savings to be used. Some of us save up to buy a piece of land, a house, a car and the reason that we save is because, most of our earnings cannot allow us to buy off a property at the full price all at once, and so, we save a coin everyday until the required amount has reached and then we buy whatever we were saving up for.

People who save on a daily basis will have the same amount that they saved, given back to them at the period and time that they need their money. You cannot go to the bank to ask them for your money, which you haven’t deposited with them, can you? No! What you deposit is what you will be allowed to withdraw. You cannot deposit say, Kshs. 20,000 and expect to withdraw Kshs. 50,000, that is impossible and it can never happen. If you deposit, 20,000 you will only be allowed to withdraw 20,000. For you to withdraw a lot of money, then you must have saved a lot of money! There is no shortcut to this, there is only one rule; For you to withdraw, you must first deposit!

Why then do we expect it to be any different with God? Isn’t He a Just God who will reward each and everyone of us according to our deeds? You live a sinful life all the days of your life, you don’t acknowledge Jesus, infact while you were alive, you talked badly about Him. But now your dead, and judgement day is here, will you expect God to be all merciful? You never banked anything with Him! You banked and relied on your friends, but here, none of your ‘precious’ friends matters! So how do we deposit into God? Prayer, Reading the Bible, Having Faith in Him,Praising Him and worshipping Him, the list is endless. Every time we deposit into God’s account our savings (prayers) go up, higher and higher everyday, such that when the day comes for us to withdraw (asking God for something) we will have something in our accounts, we will have our Faith and prayers working for us! You cannot be a Christian who doesn’t deposit into God’s account by praying to Him, how else will you withdraw? Deposit your prayers to God, deposit your thanksgiving to God, deposit your Faith to God, deposit love, peace and joy, such that when your time to withdraw comes, you will have enough to withdraw and enough to remain!

Faith is the currency of Heaven:- Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Even if your faith is as little as a mustard seed, it will still work.

Prayers are our gateway:Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Appearance matters before the Lord:- Psalms 100:4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.

Well, now you know, deposit your prayers and requests to God almighty.
Blessings!!
