The Lord Will Fight For You!

Have you ever found yourself telling God to deal with certain situations in your life and to leave others just the way they are? Reason being you have being in that current situation for such a long time that you get comfortable in it as is. You know there is a God, and you worship Him, but since this particular issue in your life has never being sorted, you develop like an attitude (without even knowing) and ‘accept’ the situation as it is. The Bible say in Philippians 4:19 “And my God will meet all my needs according to the riches of His Glory in Christ Jesus, He is the supplier of all my needs, and so we shouldn’t look at certain circumstances in our lives and think this will always remain the same, No, give Him something to work with, give God your Faith.

You find a believer in Christ who has gone through a relationship that was full of violence, they have been beaten up one too many times in their past to the extent they have given up hope in relationships. When they do get into a new relationship, they are full of fear, anxiety and trust issues that almost leads to breakups in every relationship they get into, while some believers have lived a life of poverty and lack, they struggle every day to put food on their tables, their faith has been tested to the limit. Some parents have buried their children one after the other, they have questioned God one too many times, to the point they have actually given up on their will to survive. We don’t have all the answers as to why certain things happen, but we are assured of this one thing, Jesus Christ. He is the Hope that we have to carry us through all of life’s struggles.

IMAG0247.pngCan you go fishing without a net or bait? no, why? because how will you lure the fish to come and eat the bait so that you can catch it? The same way we can’t go to God without having Faith in Him, If one person prays and says, “Lord you know my situation has always been like this, and so Lord I have come to accept this situation as my fate.” While someone else prays “Lord, you know my situation the way it is, and Lord I have faith in you that you will change my situation because you are my provider.” The latter prayer will definitely touch the heart of God more because, this is someone who despite all they have been through, still hasn’t given up, still holding to hope and trust in God almighty.

What are the situations in your life that are the ‘untouchables,’? what have you put on the side and asked God to take a ‘chill pill’? Whatever it is, don’t give up on God, don’t try to make plans for Him just because in your own thinking, you think He has forgotten about you, no He hasn’t forgotten! Your time and season will come, you only have to believe in Him, that He will deliver. We put so much trust on human beings around us, yet we fail in trusting God to the fullest, we doubt. Our mind plays tricks on us, and it brings evil thoughts and evil plans, as Paul says in Romans 7:15 “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.” and Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will”.

Therefore do not let your mind play tricks on you, but rather feed your minds with the Word of God, and every time a negative thought comes, decree the word of God over and over again, until it becomes part of you. God answers us Yes, No, or wait. if your waiting, sometimes it may seem like it has taken forever and forever, but remember 1 day is like a 1000 years to God, therefore as Psalms 27:14 says, “Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD”.
