Change of Guard

Security companies are everywhere, each with its own profile trying to entice companies and even individuals into booking them. The more packages you have to match and meet every need, the more people will buy into your company. When the services offered are good enough, then you are guaranteed of referrals from different people, which is a good thing for your business. However, whenever a security company fails to protect what was agreed on in the contract, then there is a problem. Was it the guard on duty? was it an inside job? or was it just bad luck that thieves broke in and stole! Well bad luck or not, inside job or not, truth is; every time there is a change of guard, certain things have to change. The guard that was there during the day will have to usher in the night guard, briefly explain how the day was and then leave and the cycle continues every time there is a change of guard, at no single time will the property not be protected or guarded.

The world we live in has 2 major companies! I know your wondering, “only two,” well, don’t just dismiss me yet, read on. Am talking about spirituality, good and evil. In the beginning there was God, He has always being and will always be. The devil or Lucifer used to be a powerful angel, but he saw himself as a more superior being and pride got into him, and so he was cast out of Heaven together with other angels who rebelled with him. Hence my point, there are 2 major companies, one that belongs to God and the other the devil.

As we all know many companies compete for a share in the “market,” and in the world that we live in, evil is always trying to market itself as good so that it lures as many people as possible. However, we all know that ‘when the deal is too good, think twice.’ When we were sinners and indulged ourselves with the pleasures of the world, we could care less about what we did, but truth is the devil was always looking for ways he could continue to entice us that we may get deeper and deeper into immorality and completely forget about God. However, his company doesn’t offer much, in fact it doesn’t have anything to offer! there is nothing that he can bring to the table! He’s the fatter of all lies. All he does is entice! gives you a taste of the world, once you like it, you indulge! However, everything that you tasted at the beginning is now gone, your lost and worst still, you don’t even know who you are anymore! The biggest mistakes that many people do is we do not vet this company! we don’t ask for any referrals, we just jump right into the mucky waters thinking its all fun and games.

Well, am here to tell you that there is a company that you can trust, there is a director that will never let you down. He has being tried and tested, He has being there from everlasting to everlasting, and will always be there. However, we need to change our guard, out with the old and in with the new. We need to disown the enemy and all his evil works and acknowledge Christ as Lord and Savior. How do we do that? Accept that we are sinners, more like accepting our wrongs and mistakes and bringing them to the feet of Jesus, letting go of everything else. The next step is to confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for our sins then welcome Him into our lives.

When you want to serve God, you cannot continue to live your life the same way you used to! something gotta give! And when you live your life for God, you have to welcome His will over your life. Sometimes it may be tough and may not make sense at that time, but truth is this, He who knows the future, knows whats best! Why? because He can see into the future, we can’t! Letting go of things we are used to can be really hard and even painful at sometimes. I have seen how my sons react when I discipline them, by making them forfeit what they love best, but in the end the results are good. Its the same with God, the same way that as parents we want the best for our children, is the same way that God wants the best for us, He is our Father in Heaven and He loves us all.

Change your guard! take up your cross and follow Jesus! Even when it doesn’t seem to make any sense, just know it will make sense eventually and all will be well.
