Touched by Jesus

Sometimes I let my mind take me away and just wander in thoughts, today was one of those days and the thing that came into my mind was, “Jesus walked this earth over 2,000 years ago” its not that I didn’t know that, I did, but I was actualizing and imagining seeing Him back in those days! Am picturing the story of the blind man who had being blind from birth and how Jesus healed him is different from how he healed blind Bartimaeus. He made mud and mixed it with saliva and applied it on one blind man, while on the other, He just touched Him and said your faith has made you whole. If this happened in our times, we would have criticized Him big time! You See Jesus never does the same thing like He did previously, because if He did this, He would be predictable.

And because God is never predictable, Jesus was conceived through the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, played around like any normal child, He grew up, was baptized by John the baptist. He was tempted by the devil, but he resisted, Jesus walked this earth healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons! This guy was just absolutely amazing and nothing that He touched remained the same, and today when you allow Him to touch you, your life will never be the same again. Remember Mary Magdalene? seven demons had being cast out of her by Jesus, after that, she is among the few women mentioned in the Bible who walked with Jesus together with His disciples, she was different.

Sometimes we like to take things for granted, and assume that we deserve everything, but we don’t. The very first man sinned, God could have just ignored us and let us ‘be’ as we so like to be! But He didn’t , He’s love for us is so overwhelming, that He sent His only Son to come down. For me to know that God came down from Heaven, from all His Glory and walk with us like a man, die on the cross for me and all of us, is just the most amazing thing anyone has ever done. No one has ever died for me, no one has ever shed their own blood stating, ‘this is for you my love,’ and no one else will.

Jesus was rejected by His own people, He came to His own and His own rejected Him, and so at times I ask, what if God came down in all His splendor and Majesty? would the people then have ‘accepted’ Him? I don’t think so. They wouldn’t have being able to relate with this “Powerful King” God created us, hence He knows us all too well!

Isn’t it amazing that God’s plan has always being perfect? I mean, we can sit down and ask ourselves many questions why this happened the way it did, why it didn’t happen in another way! But the truth is this, whenever you look at God’s plans, it leaves you in awe, everything He’s ever done is perfect, nothing is questionable, nothing He’s ever done has ill motives.

Why then do we still deny Him? why then do we walk this earth like we will never bow down to Him? You see for me, I like to deal with reality, and the reality is this, a time is coming when every eye will see Him and every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord! Why then should I wait until the end time so that I bow down then when you can start now? Why should I walk around like a confused element which doesn’t know its source of energy and power, yet Christ died that I may live?

The Bible says that His mercies are new every morning! every single morning, His mercy for us is new and its fresh. His Grace is sufficient for us; you see Grace is something that only God gives. His Grace makes us who we are, tolerate situations where by if it were not for Him, we would completely loose our minds! But He gives us Grace, He looks upon us with love and compassion and He’s anxiously waiting for us to welcome Him into our hearts and lives, that He may come in and live with us.

All through life we have had choices to make and this will be the best choice we will ever have to make, to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

All around us we are surrounded by Gods love, Gods Grace and Mercy, I don’t know about you, but what He’s given unto me, I will give to the world. Today make someone smile, call a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while, He’s called us to make a difference in the world! to be the salt of this earth, that when people see us, they will ask, “why is she always like that?” “theres something in Him that is just warm,” may everyone know that Jesus is the one who makes us to be who we are!

Blessings!!
