Talk is just talk, if we can’t walk the talk. Sometimes our mouths land us in big trouble, we say things that we don’t mean in front of crowds to make us look good and cool, yet we will not be able to do or even follow it through. Our tongues lands us in problems one too many times! Politicians who stand in front of crowds, make statements and promises that even they themselves know, they will not be able to deliver. I guess most people do this to make a statement, and win the hearts of people, we have become people pleasers.
What of believing in God? do we do that 100%? Ezra 8:22 I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and horsemen to protect us from enemies on the road, because we had told the king, “The gracious hand of our God is on everyone who looks to him, but His great anger is against all who forsake Him.” Here we see prophet Ezra was in a state of confusion, He was afraid to ask for protection from the king as they were returning from exile, because he had already told the king that ‘his’ God was able to protect them! Do you sometimes think like Prophet Ezra, you know who your God is, you know what He is capable of doing, but still sometimes we don’t walk the talk of who our Daddy is! What do we do after we say that our God is able? do we still continue to doubt? or do we immediately ask for help from other people instead of waiting on God. I know I have done it before, and its not like I did it consciously, but rather, I thought I was helping God by showing Him exactly how I needed help. Silly right? Gods knows our needs more than we know, He knows our situations and circumstances and when He removes you from exile, He will lead you to the promised land, He will protect you from the enemy, He will cloth you, He will feed you.
