I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me John 14:6 What is a way? A path or street for travelling along, so Jesus is showing us that in this world there is no other way that leads to Heaven except through Him. No one has ever gone into Heaven except the one who came from Heaven:-Jesus The Son of Man John 3:13 Jesus is the only way, the only ticket that you need to get to Heaven.
What is the Truth? Honesty, sincerity, genuineness; The fact of the matter or reality, I am the Truth, Jesus said. We are being showed that in this world, the only sincerer, honest and genuine thing is Jesus. He is the real deal, the truth of the matter, all other gods and everything else will fade away, but He who was from the beginning will still remain. John 14:9 Anyone who has seen me, has seen the Father. Jesus is the Truth, He is the absolute Truth that is in this world and if you ain’t got Him, you are lost!
What is Life? The existence of an individual human being, mortal, soul. The state of being alive! When we are born into this world, we are little children, but still we are born with sin, reason being, we are descendants of Adam and Eve, who committed the first sin and made us all be born sinners. That is why when we come to the age of accountability, we should give our lives to Jesus Christ who died for us, and so that we may be born again. Born of Water and the Spirit, John 3:6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. Therefore, in as much as you are now living, without Christ in you, its like you are dead, dead in the spirit. What we need to do is give our lives to Christ, that He may come inside us, live with us, and make us alive, in Him. Take up His yoke which is easy and His burden light.
How is your walk with God? Did you get saved and remained in the same position? Are you growing as a christian? Are we doing the will of God? Yes we are not perfect, yes we make mistakes every single day, but what we ought not to do is when we sin, we should not continue sinning, but rather repent and submit to God. The same struggles that we had when we were non christians will not end overnight, but will follow us because the devil will try to make us fall. What we need to do on the other end is resist him, resist everything he tries to bring onto your table, fight and stand firm in the word of God. James 4:7-8 Submit yourselves, then to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and He will come near to you. There, you have the strategy to winning and fighting back the devil, by submitting to God, not compromising in whatever the devil might try to bring onto your plate, no matter how colourful, or glamorous it may be.
When all is said and done, remember what our Lord taught us in Matthew 5:3-12
