There was a time I made a resolution not to ever make new years resolutions ever again, why? because I always found myself not keeping anything I ever wrote down! Or rather, I would follow my piece of paper for a month or two and by the 3rd month, ad be like, “what the h*** happened?” Well, It’s that time of the year again and people are making so many resolutions; don’t get me wrong, I don’t have any problem with resolutions, its just that, will whatever you resolve to do last? or is it something that is customary that people do just because they found everyone else doing it? What are the motives behind the resolutions? do they come from our heart? or do we simple follow the wind?

The truth of the matter is this, none of us knows when our clock will stop ticking! That said; we need to ask ourselves some very tough questions, after we are gone from this earth, where will we go? is there life after death? The Bible puts this very clearly in 1Corinthians 15:52…In a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. This clearly tells us that there is life after death and that life is found in Jesus. The bodies that we have now are mortal, but when the trumpet sounds, our bodies will change from corruptible into incorruptible from mortal to immortal. Therefore live your life like someone who knows where they will go, without any fear of contradiction! like a child of a King; the King of the world.
Would you get onto a bus which you didn’t know where its going? I don’t think so! Then why live a life that doesn’t have direction? When you haven’t given your life to Christ, truth is your like a person who gets onto a bus without knowing where its headed and thats pretty dangerous! Come to Jesus, let Him lead you, let Him guide you, greatness is what awaits you! Mercy Me sang “I can only imagine,” a beautiful song asking questions on what we will do when we meet Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world. Will you stand in awe? will you bow down? what will you do?
Let this year be a year that you serve God like never before!
