Rain, rain go away, come again another day! That’s a nursery rhyme that we used to sing and I believe kids are still singing it! When I was young and we were outside playing and it began to rain, we would sing this song because we didn’t want to go back into the house. We wanted to stay outside and play till late! We didn’t go back in the house, even when it rained, we still played in the rain, until you were called to go into the house! We didn’t know that rain brought with it blessings! I now know better, am all grown up.
Have you ever thought that you didn’t need or require any help from someone and it was only when they left that you realised that you actually needed them! Blessings in our lives come in disguised packages. Sometimes we might look at what we are receiving and think it’s crap, not appreciate it! Then years on, we realise that, what you thought as crap is what would have made you reach and attain your goals, but you lost it because all you associate with is glitz and glam!
Jesus came into this earth and was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born by the virgin Mary in a manger. His father was a carpenter, His brothers and sisters never imagined that their brother was the king of this world! His disciples were fishermen and tax collectors, people who had been thought off as outcasts, but God saw something else in them! These apostles wrote the new testament, which we all read and will be read for generations to come. This King that was packaged with all humility will return with all Glory and Power and the whole earth will see Him, shining like the sun and bow before Him, acknowledging that He is God!
They say when it rains, it pours! May the blessings of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ rain on everyone and when it does, sing and dance like little children playing outside in the rain, not ashamed of their father in Heaven! Having taken their stand to serve Jesus!
