Regrets…

You can’t change the past, but you can allow your past to change your future. Once yesterday is gone, you can’t bring it back with everything that went away with it, its gone. Just like passing wind, so is life, we are just passing by. However, we can be the best we want to be or the worst that we want to be, its all a matter of choice. A nasty word spoken, a careless mistake, anger issues and taking people for granted are all examples of things that we do without thinking, which obviously lead to regret at a later date. I believe that whatever we do when we are having ‘fun,’ should not be regrettable, but unfortunately, it is, we often regret what we did, why? because we were caught up in the heat of the moment and bang! it happened.

However, we don’t have to go through life with regrets why? Ephesians 2:4-5 But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – It is by grace you have been saved. This verse basically sums us up! We are all born into sin, born into transgressions, but praise be to God, that even while I was yet in sin, He died for me; aint that something! Ephesians 1:4-5 “For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will.

God chose us to be in Him even before the creation of the world, holy and blameless in His sight, however, the enemy doesn’t want us to walk holy and blameless! no he wants us to fall, he wants everyone of us to walk in regret of yesterday, carrying baggages of sin, worry and all the cares of the world; this is not God’s plan! God predestined us, meaning He wants us to live a life that is complete in Him, In His fullness and His grace. The secret to go through this life is nothing else but Jesus Christ, the Hope of Glory.

Don’t live in the past, its gone and what has been done is already done, we cannot take it back. Therefore, let us live our lives as people who have being called by His name, the name that is above every other name. Let us be people who surrender their lives to Christ Jesus, living each day for our maker, the one who created you, called you and predestined you for greatness. 1 Corinthians 6:20  “You were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your body.” Honour God with every part of your being and let everything that is within you praise the Lord.
