So schools have closed and children are all over the estates making noise, playing and being kids. The excitement that they have when they close schools, is way over the top! To them, the fact that they don’t have to wake up early in the morning to go to school, or do classwork and homework is the best thing that could happen to them. Closing day means watching tv without parents telling them you have to sleep early because of school, closing day means waking up late, playing with your friends, riding your bicycle, its a sense of freedom for the children. Closing day means a lot to a child, it means relaxing and not have to worry about not doing mathematics or your science project.
However, because children are under the care of either parents or guardians, we need to protect them more when they have closed schools than when they are in school. You see when in school, they are in a closed environment, where by everything is timed! from the lessons, to play time to eating time, and so for children to come out of the restriction time and be free means a lot to them and responsibility to us.
And just like when we go to school to pick our children’s report books, on that glorious closing day, the Book of Life will be opened and all that passed the exam of life will receive the crown of life, while those whose names are not written in the Lambs book of Life shall also receive their reward and be thrown in the lake burning with fire and brimstone. Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and the books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
The same way that we look out for our children that they don’t get into the wrong friendships, or get into trouble, so we should also be careful that we don’t fall into the traps of the enemy. Ephesians 6:10-17 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,which is the word of God.
What we need in this life is nothing but the Word of God who is Jesus Christ.
