God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called, am sure we’ve heard this statement over and over again. What does this really mean? To be qualified means to be trained in a particular job, of which one has being certified, a certified doctor, a certified pilot or a certified engineer. If God only called the qualified and certified in life, where would the rest of us be? People who didn’t have degrees, or people who were hustling with everyday life? That would mean that, salvation would only be for the learned and rich, right? But thank God that He doesn’t do what humans would like Him to do. You know when some people attain high levels of qualifications in their studies, and when they get high ranking jobs, they become arrogant, they look down upon the rest and see them as nobody’s. If they were asked by God to choose who would enter Heaven or not, trust me, they would say only those who have PHD’s!
God qualifies the called! The truth of the matter is this, even with our degrees, monies and properties, we are nothing before God, if He hasn’t called you His own. Nothing, zero! There is no degree here on earth that would make you reach Heaven, there is no job that can guarantee you a seat at the Table of the Lord. When God calls us, He changes our status, we immediately become children of the most High God, who are seated together with Him. God doesn’t need anything from us, He’s the one who provides for us and gives us the breadth of life. We would not be alive if it weren’t for God, we wouldn’t be where we are, if it weren’t for His Grace. You see Grace is something that we humans don’t have, but God who is gracious and merciful, looks upon us with Love. Grace forgives the worst sinner, Grace looks at a prostitute and still loves them, Grace looks at murderers and still knocks on their doors that they may repent. Where Grace is, Love will always abound, Grace doesn’t judge, it doesn’t look with contempt, it doesn’t hate. Where would we be without His Grace? Where would we be without His Love?
Can you imagine if Jesus never came on earth. Can you imagine if He never died for us? can you imagine how people’s hearts would be? I think we would be zombies…. walking around like people who didn’t know where they are going. As it is now most people are struggling with pain and hurts, but thank God for His peace, for when the peace of God comes in, no matter how hurt you were, He heals you. Lord where would we be without you? How can we live without you? How will the world be without your Holy Spirit?
Today, remember that, It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’ve come from, which race you are, when God calls you, then He qualifies you. Salvation is not bought, it is given freely for all and to all, there is no discrimination about it and there will not be a case, of “I knew Him first, so all He’s got is mine,” no! Freely you have received, freely give.
