Passing Judgement

Have you ever looked at someone and the first thing that comes into your mind is ‘this person looks like a sinner.’ You don’t know them, haven’t spent time with them, but still in your own head have passed judgement onto them. Matthew 7:3 “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? meaning you are seeing something wrong in someone else, yet you are no better than them. Why do we do that? Is it because we internally regard ourselves better than others and look down upon the rest? Is it a humanly thing to do? to be mean to people? The Bible gives the answer to these questions in Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. There is none righteous, no not one. At the same time, God has given us something called ‘free will,’ we have the choice to choose right, and we also have the choice to choose wrong. 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

What will you do with your ‘free will?’ will you pass judgement? or will you let God be the judge? Life is too short to be judgemental, angry, rude or arrogant. There is so much good to do, yes there is, but the devil doesn’t want people to do good, no he doesn’t. He doesn’t want to see families happy, he doesn’t want unity, he wants strive, hatred, war and all other sorts of evil. What many people don’t realise is this, the devil will not come in his own image, he can’t, and that is why he is using people all over the world to do his dirty work, question is? will you accept to be his agent? or will you be on the Lords side? This is all it all comes down to, Heaven or Hell, Saviour of the world who happens to be Jesus Christ or the ancient serpent called the devil? The choice is yours, Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. With our tongue we bless, with the same tongue we curse, we need to be careful what we wish for or declare with our tongues. It might be as innocent as calling your child ‘stupid’ when your angry, but the same words will follow your daughter or son who will grow up knowing they are stupid. They will not have self confidence, they will not love themselves, and all because their parent was careless with a ‘word.’ Speak life into your children, speak a blessing into their lives, but above all, declare the word of God over their lives.

Lastly, If human beings know how to choose beautiful women to be their wives and handsome men to be their husbands, if you can look and know what is good for you, why then would you choose satan over Jesus? ponder on that!
Choose wisely!
