Boxing…

When you get into a boxing ring if your a fighter, you never anticipate that you will loose, you always want to win! Nobody wants to be beaten up or given a technical knockout! Everyone fights to win. For you to win, it will depend on your game, how you play your game, how you avoid the blows from your opponent, waiting on the right time and moment to throw a punch that will defeat your opponent!

We are all in a match, we are all fighting this game called life. Am battling mine, and so is everybody else. When your winning, most people will cheer you on, everyone wants to be your friend, but when you lose, they will walk out on you and call you a looser. Some people will even boo you way before your fight starts! They will look at you like a nobody, and will pass judgement immediately. Therefore what is the winning strategy?

I don’t know the answers to everything, but I definitely learnt a lesson or two from the boxing match I watched on Saturday night. Every single player who walked into the ring, the first thing they did was pray, they knelt down and prayed, while some did the cross symbol on their chests. Others would get into the ring and first thing they did was to look at their opponents with contempt and look down upon them, underestimate them! Shock on them, they got hit not by points, but by technical knockout!

Such is life, we are all fighting out our own bouts, our opponents may underestimate us or look at us with contempt! Have discipline, be consistent, don’t play anyone’s game but yours! Don’t try stunts that will make you fall! Be yourself! But above everything else put God first in your life! When God is first, then you are a winner and when you win a battle,  when you defeat temptations and trials, don’t forget to tell Him thank you! Remember it’s not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit says the Lord God Almighty.

May the Lord God guide us in our everyday lives, may we always look up to Him, the author and finisher of our faith and may we always put our trust in God and not man!!

Blessings
