Children will do mistakes, and we cane them for doing wrong, though sometimes chances of them repeating the same mistakes is usually at 99.9% and at times you think to yourself, don’t they ever get tired of being discipled over the same thing? Aren’t they afraid of being caned or being scolded? don’t they ever get tired of repeating the same mistakes over and over again? When parents discipline their children, its not that they hate them, its because they love them and they would love it if their children would grow up with good morals, be hardworking and make it in life. No one would ever wish that their child doesn’t make it in life! no one, and that is why we keep pushing them, but at the same time, we should be careful not to push them too far and make them rebellious.

What will happen is this, God will forgive us every time that we ask for forgiveness, however, sometimes, He will allow our mistakes/sins to be exposed, if it means that we will stop doing them. Yes at that particular time you will feel embarrassed, overwhelmed, but somethings will have to get exposed for you to stop. My boys make me want to scream at the top of my lungs for things they do, but I love them unconditionally anyways. If you keep playing with fire, you will get burned, ask my young son and he will tell you! He decides to play with fire with a couple of his friends outside, and out of bad luck, one of his friends burned him on his leg and because he knew that what he did was wrong, he was even afraid to come and show me that he was hurt. Eventually the pain gets too much and he exposes his wound and I attend to him, apparently he and his friends had always been playing with fire, but today was their bad luck and one of them got burned, and all their little secrets exposed. Job 4:7 “Consider now: Who, being innocent, has ever perished? Where we’re the upright ever destroyed? Good will always pay with good, and bad will always pay with bad! God corrects us with love, and still welcomes us back to His loving arms.
So is it safe to say that we all never learn? absolutely not! Our bodies/flesh will fail us time and time again, however, we must not let our bodies or sin to master us, but we should allow God to be our master. The Bible says that “No temptation has seized you, except what is common to man. And God is Faithful, He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it” 1Corinthians 10:13 meaning everything that we go through, someone else who was before us under went through the same thing, God will always give us a way out in all situations, it is for us to see the door and get out of it, not get comfortable in our evil ways.
God’s love for us cannot be measured by anything, His Grace is sufficient and His mercies are new every morning, but as Christians, let us not take advantage of the situation and keep saying to ourselves, “I know God will forgive me no matter what I do, and so you keep sinning all the time.
