Confusion

What do you do when everything you try keeps crumbling down? What do you do when you keep trying and trying but still nothing bears fruit? What do you do when all you love doesn’t seem to love you back as much as you’d want it to? What do you do when you’ve given your all but still your all is never good enough? What do you do?

Such is life by the way! Never smooth never going as we would want it to! But hey have you ever seen guys who give it their first shot and they make it? It almost seems as if they had greeted God with their hands and fortune came onto them, and we’re left there with our jaws wide open wondering how did they do that? or what are we doing wrong?  I know I have. To be honest there have being times that I have being discouraged to the core! Wanting to give up and throw in the towel and guess what? so many people get to this point and because they think there are left with no choices at all, they commit suicide, take their own lives! Is it right? no it isn’t? did they have another choice? off course they did, but at that particular moment absolutely nothing made sense to them. They didn’t think they mattered to anyone, they didn’t think anyone valued and or treasured them. They were depressed for such a long time, but no one noticed. This is the world that we live in today, more and more young people are committing suicide than ever before. The older generation seems to think that these guys are just lazy and complain a lot, but fact is this, they are depressed and nothing seems to work for them. No one understands them, its like they are in a world of their own. How do we help? LOVE.

Love is the greatest gift of all. No matter how bad your day has being, when you get home and find your spouse or loved ones and they usher you in with love and with a smile, the bad feeling goes away! Its unexplainable. Showing people love and knowing that you have their back, is always an encouragement. Thats why Paul wrote in 1Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy or boast, it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. love never ends. The love of God keeps us sane, and no matter what kind of failure you go through, Jesus is the only one who sticks closer than a brother. Friends will reject and speak ill of you, parents will not understand you, but Jesus doesn’t! He sees every tear rolling down your cheeks, only He can see the pain in your heart and It’s in these moments that we need to seek Him. When confusion is all that we know and when pain and sorrow seems to be our new best friends.

The devil is a liar! Always has, always will. He thrives in fear and always wants us to remain in this state. Truth is, at times it’s okay not to be okay! However, we need to pick ourselves up, wash our tears of sorrow and pray. Will you have an answer immediately? Maybe yes, maybe not! patience is a virtue! Yeah I know, easier said than done! It’s actually in times like these that we plot ways which we can help God, so that our plans can come out faster! Which never works, it only becomes disastrous. Remember Sarah? When God told her she would have a baby, she laughed! Because she perceived her old body as useless and couldn’t do anything! Hence she went to her maid servant and convinced her husband to lie with her. A child was conceived, but was the child the one God had promised? No it wasn’t! What Sarah planned only brought more confusion in her house! However, at the appointed time, God came through! Not due to pressure! Not due to demand! But at His own appointed time. What does this show us? What does it tell us?

God’s ways are not ours, He’s not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should change His mind! What He promises you it shall surely come at His own appointed time and it shall not delay. The Bible says “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11.

Keep the faith, keep the hope! God is Faithful and true. Don’t despair, rather look to Jesus, He’s readily waiting for you. He wants to be your Savior and friend.

Blessings!
